Privacy Policy

Mindhack.in is built and run independently, and this page covers what happens to your data when you use it. No legal team wrote this, so it's written the way we'd actually explain it if you asked us in person.

You can play without an account

Every game on Mindhack.in — Sudoku, 2048, the Rubik's Cube timer, Sliding Puzzle, and the rest — works with no sign-up, no login, and no personal information from you at all. Creating an account is optional and only useful if we add features later that need one, like saving your progress across devices.

What we collect

Three things, depending on how you use the site:

• If you create an account: a username, email address, and password, so you can log back in. Your password is never shown back to you or to anyone else on our end.
• If you use the contact form: your name, email address, and whatever you write to us. It's sent to our inbox through Formspree, a third-party form service — Formspree's own privacy policy covers how they handle the message in transit.
• Just by browsing: Google Analytics collects standard usage data — which pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, what device and browser you're using, and how you found the site. This runs through a cookie in your browser.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data to anyone, and we don't share it with third parties beyond the services named on this page (Google Analytics and Formspree) that we use to run the site. There are no ads on Mindhack.in right now. If that changes, we'll update this page before it happens, not after.

Cookies and local storage

Google Analytics sets a cookie to recognize repeat visits. If you log in, your browser stores a login token locally so you stay signed in — that token lives in your browser, not on a server-side session, and clearing your browser data removes it. You can block Analytics cookies with your browser's privacy settings or an extension like uBlock Origin without breaking anything on the site; the games don't depend on it.

If you're a parent

Some of our games are simple enough for kids to enjoy, and playing them doesn't require any personal information. Account creation does ask for an email address, though, so if your child wants to sign up, we'd rather you set that up together. If you believe your child has given us personal information without your knowledge, email us at support@mindhack.in and we'll remove it.

Your choices

Email support@mindhack.in if you want your account deleted, want to know what we have on file for your contact-form messages, or just want something removed. We'll handle it directly — there's no ticketing system to navigate.

Security

We take reasonable steps to keep account and contact data secure, but no website can guarantee data is 100% safe from every possible attack. If we ever have reason to believe your account data was exposed, we'll tell you.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. We're not going to bury a material change in a rewritten paragraph three sections down.
